Mark Meier - Executive Director of CFC
Mark has been married to his high school sweetheart, Linda Meier, for 27 years. They have 4 children: Tori, 15; Bree, 19; Marcus, 23; and Morgan, 24. Linda has worked as Nurse Educator and Trauma Coordinator at Fairview Ridges for 16 years.
Mark has a background in finance, and he spent 20 years in corporate and field finance and accounting with a number of companies including Kraft Foods, Arthur Anderson, VCO Consulting and SPX. In 2002, Mark began to feel a call to professional ministry and began to do professional ministry work in stewardship for local churches on a part-time basis. Concurrently, he pursued his certification as a Minister of Theology from Concordia in St. Paul. He's certified in Old/New Testament History, Christian Doctrine, Varieties of Beliefs and the History of Theology. Mark was also heavily involved in his local church as Director of Youth Ministry and Outreach, among other volunteer positions at the church.
In 2007, he founded Campus Faith Clubs (originally named PP&J Ministry for Peter, Paul and James Ministries - Jesus Disciples) as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission to "Encourage Youth for Faith at School and in the Community." The ministry is supported by individual donors, local churches and businesses. The first faith club met in November of 2007 at McGuire Middle School in Lakeville, MN, where 17 students gathered for fellowship, scripture and a prayer. Today, after 7 years, the ministry has grown to over 46 schools in the Twin Cities with 1500 students participating in the bi-weekly meetings. Efforts are currently underway to open clubs in Iowa and Illinois.
