Overview:

This 9-month paid internship runs from August - June.

Stipend and fundraising: Students will be paid a stipend of $1800 dollars for the school year. For this years' cohort, students will be required to raise their own funds for the stipends. This is in line with your role as an intern taking a 9-month local mission trip. CFC will provide sample fundraising letters to be send to friends and family along with a donation link. More information will be shared in the interview process.
The internship consists of 4 main parts

1. Once a month all-Cohort training. These take place typically on the first Sunday of the month from 6-8:30pm. Here students will be equipped with the tools to enable their club to succeed and be trained in how to be a witness inside their school. Interns will learn practical biblical skills such as sharing their testimony, the Gospel, a loving interaction with a stranger, and much more. These trainings land on the following dates: 8/24, 9/14, 10/12, 11/9, 12/14, 1/11, 2/8, 3/8, 4/12, 5/10, 6/14. A commitment to attending all trainings and making them an essential priority in your life is essential to this internship.

2. Once a month 1 on 1 mentor meeting. Here you will be poured into by a young adult mentor for an hour for hands-on and personal discipleship. We will look at your walk with Jesus, how your Faith Club is doing, and how we can help you to thrive in your internship.

3. Once a month discipleship training of an underclassman. You will meet with an underclassman of your choice to take what you've learned and directly pour into another classmate in a personal and loving way following a CFC provided bible study. Similar to the once a month 1 on 1s with CFC staff, you will spend an hour pouring into someone.

4. Cohort Internship Assignments. Here you will put your faith into action by applying what you've learned in the all-Cohort training to the school mission field. For example, praying for a friend at school or filming a "TikTok-style interview" asking spiritual questions. One such assignment is a reoccurring 10-minute once/month phone call "check-in" with CFC staff.

5. Summer Faith Club attendance. In the summer we have a joint faith club with all of the schools in the area on Tuesday nights. It is highly encouraged that interns attend and help facilitate small groups with their officers from their own school and cultivate community for the coming year.

*By proceeding with this application, you acknowledge that, if selected for Daniel Cohort, you will be expected to attend each Sunday spanning 9 months. Additionally, you must complete the application portion of the internship each week to be paid for the training. After your application is submitted, you will be asked to attend an in-person, informational interview before a decision is made regarding your application for CFC’s Daniel Cohort.
Application deadline May 31st. Once you have applied, click here to sign up for an interview time slot!
